Elevate maximises the property boom to give back

Behind the impressive property portfolio and polished team at Elevate Residential is a real estate agency with a strong social conscience and a mission to improve the lives of those living in housing stress.

The agency, which manages a growing portfolio across Greater Brisbane, directs 100 per cent of profits into a special Impact Fund overseen by Queensland’s leading social and community housing provider, BHC.

And for BHC community housing resident Jordan, the Fund has been life changing.

The Fortitude Valley local received a laptop from the Fund and has been able to complete a Certificate III in Individual Support to further his chosen career in aged care.

“The day that I applied for the BHC grant, my computer broke,” Jordan said.

“Being able to complete my training modules and watch online educational videos in my own space, in my own time has been so valuable and allowed me to finalise my studies within seven months.”

Jordan recently undertook a three-week placement with a retirement village and is now seeking employment within the sector.

Elevate Residential’s Principal Licensee, Chris Meadmore, said Jordan’s experience was incredibly motivating for the team.

“Customers today expect businesses to be more socially aware and responsible and we are seeing more and more people choosing us as a trusted partner to sell their homes and manage their investment properties – and it’s stories like Jordan’s that lead them our way,” Chris said.

“We are a highly professional, ethical team of qualified real estate agents and we focus on delivering the strongest property results, every time.

“And by choosing our team, our clients feel assured that they have played an essential role in enhancing the lives of people in need. It’s real estate with heart.”

Chief Executive Officer at BHC Rebecca Oelkers said all 1,500 BHC households can benefit from the Impact Fund, which totalled $150,000 in 2021, ranging from support services to opportunities to participate in employment, training, social and community activities.

“Amongst the stress the current rental market can cause for low-income households, programs like this between Elevate Residential and BHC are helping to create positive outcomes, allowing residents like Jordan to live their lives with dignity and hope,” she said.
